Over 60 Penza policemen took part in blood donation campaign “Saving Lives”

Penza, 5 July 2015. PenzaNews. Over 60 police officers of Penza city took part in the blood donation campaign “Saving Lives.”

The campaign encompassed nearly all police department: investigation, patrol guard, road patrol and commissioners, both familiar with the blood donation procedure and not.

After filling in the papers, passing through short medical exams and giving necessary tests, the policemen donated their blood that will be sent to the medical facilities and stored for the patients in urgent need of a blood transfusion.

“We organize such campaigns no less than every six months. Our officers are taught to help those in need, and I am glad to see they answered the request of the doctors. Helping people is our primary objective. By participating in this campaign, we first of all seek to assist those who need transfusions to save their lives,” Internal Services colonel Vladimir Ptitsyn, deputy head of the Penza city Ministry of the Interior department, pointed out.
