Penza, 9 July 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region law enforcement forces increased their work effectiveness in crime solving by 4.7% over the first six months of 2015, announced the police colonel Vladimir Lysov, head of the city Ministry of the Interior department, during the meeting dedicated to the work results.

According to him, all crimes related to acts of murder, rape and grievous body harm were solved.

Moreover, the city police have discovered 172 crimes related to illegal drug trafficking, and seized 149 gambling machines and over 50,000 liters of alcoholic beverages during the gambling raids.

The police also found 24 lost citizens.

The head of Penza Victor Kuvaytsev took an opportunity during the meeting to thank the heads and the officers of the city Ministry of the Interior department for cooperation and law enforcement during such mass events as the celebration of Russia Day and the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

He also rewarded several police officers with letters of gratitude for excellence in law enforcement, says the press service of the Penza region MOI department.
