Penza, 17 July 2015. PenzaNews. The MTS network provided has activated the third frequency bandwidth on its 3G transmitters in the Penza region, increasing network capacity and average transmission speed in the city and the region.
“The third frequency bandwidth activation on the most heavily used transmitters of the third-generation network also increased their data rate and therefore reduced the network load, which leads to increased web bandwidth for customers,” the company’s press service informed PenzaNews agency.
The change was made in over 50% of 3G bas transmitters of the provider in such cities and towns of the region as Penza, Kuznetsk, Nikolsk, Serdobsk, Nizhny Lomov, Kamenka, Gorodische, Mokshan, Zemetchino, Kolyshley and Kondol, MTS representatives noted.
“We also enabled the third frequency bandwidth on the base transmitters along M5 ‘Ural’ (Moscow-Chelyabinsk), R152 (Rostov-Nizhny Novgorod) and R208 (Tambov-Penza) highways,” the press service added.
According to Evgeny Galushko, director of MTS in Ulyanovsk and Penza regions and the Republic of Mordovia, the number of active Internet users of the provider in the Penza region increased by 33% and their generated traffic volume grew by a half.
“Naturally, such high demand for modern technologies requires a service provider to conduct impeccable service and ensure thorough network coverage. We are improving reliability of our network year to year so that our customers, regardless how many there are, could always use the modern services at home or on their way at comfortable connection speeds,” he said.
