During her meeting with the city head on Monday, July 20, the elderly woman told Victor Kuvaytsev about the poor state of the yards in question and asked him to assist in improving the situation in the neighborhood.

She also complained that the road crews neglect to collect trash on Lobachevskovo street and the staff of the nearby kindergarten is forced to clean the road on their own.

Moreover, according to her, the sidewalk in the yard zone of Kalinina street from “Fortuna” shopping center down to the Pervomaisky stadium became dilapidated.

On Thursday, July 23, Tamara Chernova showed all the issues to Victor Kuvaytsev in person, including the areas of the recent pipeline repairs that were not followed by asphalt works.

She paid particular attention to illegal waste dumps, poorly maintained lawns and piles of rubbish created by the locals themselves who do not respect the place they live in.

However, as Tamara Chernova noted, some locals do strive to keep the area in good condition and try to improve every bit of land they could by planting flowers, covering the sidewalks with rubbles and forming small walkways with bits of broken asphalt, but they need more help.

After investigating the yards from the Pervomaisky stadium to “Fortuna” shopping center with Tamara Chernova, Victor Kuvaytsev promised to take the necessary measures.

“Some place will improved in the nearest future, and the sidewalks will be repaved in the next year under the deputy’s program of urban improvement on public complaints,” the city head assured.

The city budget has allocated 70 million rubles to conduct urban improvement, road repairs and work on other complaints of the Penza city voters, the press service of the city Duma informed PenzaNews agency.

The officials plan to allocate a similar sum for 2016.

This program in 2014 helped repair a total of 44,162 sq. meters of roads and sidewalks, improve 129 playgrounds, repair roads, install plastic windows, and replace water pipelines in several schools.
