Over 1,500 drivers refuse pay fines for DUIs

Penza, 30 July 2015. PenzaNews. The Federal Service of Court Bailiffs have received over 1,500 court statements on DUI cases resulting in fines for enforcement over the six months of 2015.

The total sum of fines reached 49,660,000 rubles, the official representative of the FSCB Yana Zagrebelnaya told PenzaNews agency.

“The debtors that own cars will face restrictions when trying to make any legal moves involving them. 32 statements resulted in seizure of debtors’ property. 288 people face deductions from their salaries or other income, 725 debtors will be unable to leave country,” the speaker said.

She added that the court bailiffs of the Penza region created 65 administrative fine orders for not paying the sums on time.

“In particular, a Penza citizen, 34, who was detained for a DUI and did not pay the required fine of 30,000 rubles was sentenced to 20 hours of penal service,” Yana Zagrebelnaya clarified.

According to her, another citizen received 5 days of administrative detention for not paying a fine of 50,000 rubles for driving drunk.
