Penza, 2 August 2015. PenzaNews. The acting governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev congratulated the workers and veterans of the railroad service with their professional holiday celebrated on Sunday, August 2.

“The Russian railroads have a great history, and they played the decisive role in the development of the state’s economy throughout the 20th century. The greatest moment in their timeline is the selfless work of the railroad service during the Second World War that ended 70 years ago, an anniversary we all are celebrating this year,” said the head of the region.

It is hard to overestimate the importance of railroads in the present day, as they ensure the stable work of all production in Russia, Ivan Belozertsev stressed.

“The field is actively developing and showing great economic and technological progress, implementing new innovative technologies,” he stressed.

The acting governor expressed his sincere gratitude to the railroad workers for their arduous labor, professional skill and responsibility.
