Penza, 6 August 2015. PenzaNews. A “Best in the Profession” skill contest for bricklayers and plasterers took off at the construction site of two new apartment buildings in the third tier of Arbekovo neighborhood in the morning of Thursday, August 6.

The contest aims to increase the prestige of these professions, show the best skill and attract young workers in this job sector.

28 bricklayers and 11 plasterers represented 13 organizations at the contest. They were allocated a total of 6 hours to complete all the tasks.

The contestants will battle both the theory and the practice, while the jury will rate their performance and speed using a five-point scale.

The best plasterers and bricklayers will receive diplomas and valuable gifts, while the best of the best will receive Lada Granta cars.

Moreover, the most skilled workers will be representing the Penza region during the federal state of the national contest, says the press service of the regional government.
