“Private carriers bare no social responsibility of business, salary has not been raised, and there were no attempts to purchase new rolling stock. Minibus driver salary has also been reduced in accordance with the branch tariff agreement, the new rolling stock will be purchased, but in smaller number. In turn, acting governor Ivan Belozertsev emphasized that Penza administration and tariff regulation and energy preservation department of the Penza region should take control over transport quality.
“Monitoring should increase. Analysis [of transport services] should be carried out in the future. Our main task is to ensure that the services provided to the citizens are decent. We would like the transport companies to evolve, increase their rolling stock, so that the residents could use safe means of transport, but we would alos like the economic calculations to be justified,” the head of the regionn said.
