Over 2 thousand Penza residents received high-tech medical care in six months of 2015

Penza, 12 August 2015. PenzaNews. 2,103 residents of the Penza region have received high-tech medical care at different sources of funding during the six months of 2015.

“It is almost two times more than in the same period last year,” the press service of the regional Health Ministry informed PenzaNews agency.
The ministry added that the high technology in medicine in general have become more affordable.
“In 2010, they were owned by only two medical institutions of the Penza region. In 2015, high-tech medical care is provided in five medical institutions,” the ministry said.
The press service noted that, in particular, there increased the volume of high-tech medical care in “Cardiovascular surgery” funded by the regional budget in the regional Burdenko clinical hospital.
“For six months of 2015, 373 people have been operated in this catecory. In order to improve the provision of high-tech medical care to patients with cardiovascular disease, from October 1, 2015 we shall redevelop 12 beds of neurological category of the regional Burdenko hospital into 12 beds for cardiovascular surgery,” the Ministry of Health explained.
