Penza, 13 August 2015. PenzaNews. Egene Pakusin, executive director of JSC “SKM Engineering” informed PenzaNews agency that the company, which is the general contractor for reconstruction of the overpass Zvenigorod in Moscow, plans to complete work in October 2015.

“The construction is only called reconstruction. In fact, on the site of the old bridge, there will be a modern transport interchange. Zvenigorod viaduct passes over the small ring of the Moscow railway. The construction had to be raised a few meters, to ensure the smooth movement of passenger trains,” the agency interlocutor said.

He added that the construction works are in the final stage.

On the eve of the Builder's Day, celebrated on Sunday, August 9, the construction site was visited by Sergei Sobyanin, mayor of Moscow.

According to him, a small ring of the Moscow railway is gradually turning into interchange circuit commuter rail, as well as the Moscow Metro.

“Industrial areas, located around, will be developing, new housing estates will grow, new jobs will be created,” he stressed.

The mayor added that the Zvenigorod overpass is an important link among other works on improvement of the transport links between the areas neighboring the railroad.
