Exposition “Pre-revolutionary Russia” opened in Penza

Penza, 18 August 2015. PenzaNews. The opening ceremony of the exposition “Pre-revolutionary Russia,” prepared by the Penza photographer and journalist Oleg Mashin, was held in the youth home on Tuesday, August 18.

According to Oleg Mashin, the exposition was organized within two months, while the collection of photographs, newspaper clippings and pre-revolutionary cards took no less than 10 years.
“I am certainly not going to stop here. In late October - early November, I am opening a new exposition. This time the 1920-1940-ies. The current exposition is timed to the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Geographical Society,” he said.
After that, the letters of gratitude were presented to those who assisted in organizing the event, including the chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society Igor Pantyushov.
Then, Dean of History and Philology department of Penza State University, Doctor of History Oleg Yagov proposed to organize this exposition in the university library, as well as to release a book.
“Pre-revolutionary Russia — this will be the unique edition in the Penza region,” he said.
