As the press service of the regional government informed PenzaNews agency, nearly 250 people are currently engaged in the construction, working in two extended shifts.

“At the moment, we completed monolithic work on the ground floor, the carcass structure of the first and second floors. Ventilation unit on the ground floor is currently being installed,” the regional government specified.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the construction of the Penza perinatal center is behind the schedule. When Vladimir Stryuchkov, acting minister of health of the Penza region, visited the site on July 31, he expressed the hope that in August the builders will catch up and “operate within the established schedule.”

Meanwhile, for the last month the facility has become the site of a number of incidents.

At night on August 3, the construction site suffered a major fire. According to witnesses, the fire was burning in the area of at least 100 square meters. According to preliminary data, it was the warmer that caused the fire.

On August 10, during an operational meeting in the government of the Penza region, acting governor Ivan Belozertsev instructed the head of the regional Ministry of Construction Alexander Grishaev to identify and analyze the reasons for non-payment of salaries to workers engaged in the construction of the perinatal center. The same day, the Omsk region worker involved in the construction of perinatal center, threatened to burn himself in the building of the Penza prosecutor's office due to the salary non-payment.

On August 12, the prosecutor's office of the Penza region informed that salary arrears had been paid out to the Omsk region worker.
