Penza, 22 August 2015. PenzaNews. All-round relay became one of the key events that took place in Penza on the Day of State Flag of the Russian Federation on Saturday, August 22. It was organized by the regional branch of the party “United Russia” together with public and sports organizations.

During the first stage, over 25 cars proceeded from the Stele of Heroes along Kirova, Suvorova, Karpinskogo and Okruzhnaya Streets.

After that the motorists passed the baton of the Russian flag to the citizens on bikes who were waiting for them at Olimpiyskaya Alley.

In the Belinsky central park of culture and rest the cyclists were joined by the athletes society “Marafon,” who ran along Karla Marksa Street down to Moskovskaya Street.

There they were met by fans of Nordic walking. Then the participants of the relay continued to move into the city center.

Near the shopping center “Arbat,” the athletes joined the activists of the “Young Guard of United Russia,” the members of the Youth Parliament at the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region and the Youth Council at the City Duma.

They unfolded three 12-meter-long canvas of white, blue and red, symbolizing the Russian tricolor, after which the column proceeded to Lenina Square.
