Final call for PSU dorm applicants
Penza, 23 August 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza State University reminds that the admission of dormitory requests is nearing completion.
During the period from August 5 to 21, they received 570 requests, including 150 from foreign students who will be staying together with citizens of the Russian Federation.
According to PSU deputy director on the campus Ekaterina Shishova, the state scholarship holders will be the priority, but those who pay for their education may also qualify for a place in the dormitory.
As the PSU press service told PenzaNews agency, the meeting of the commission to consider the submitted applications, will be held on August 24-25, and on August 29 the dorm settlement order will be released.
Admission of foreign students based on dorm quota continues. Thus, on August 8, 25 people settled in, and on Sunday, August 23 almost 100 people are expected.
The Penza State University has eight dormitories of corridor and section types, which are home to more than 3 thousand students. 500 places have been allocated for the first-year students.
Many PSU dorms have their own sports facilities. Thus, in dormitory No. 2 there are two gyms, and a self-training room.
The dorm residents have an opportunity to participate in cultural work and talent shows.
