Eight years of work in the tough Russian economic climate is a firm sign of stability for any organization and particularly for a media source, said the director of PenzaNews agency Ivan Malikov.

“On this important day, we would like to thank all audience of the agency who adamantly believe in us and vote with their browsers, so to say – by typing in ‘penzanews.ru,’ checking up their bookmarks or simply clicking a link with a good header. We express our gratitude to you and seek this to continue,” said Ivan Malikov.

He also thanked the agency staff led by the editor-in-chief Pavel Polosin since its foundation for their honest and arduous work.

“Our numbers are modest, and every one of us has happy, said, troubling and aspiring moments of his own, but I like to see us always acting as professionals, as a team, as one mechanism, regardless of the situation. And this brings results and helps us fulfill our main mission: tell Penza citizens about the events in the regions every day,” Ivan Malikov stressed.

The website of PenzaNews agency went online on September 3, 2007.

In February 2008, the website was registered as a news agency media with the Rossvyazokhrankultura.

In 2009, the website underwent its first redesign.

July 2011 saw the appearance of a new PenzaNews agency website, fully rebuilt from scratch, complete with a new brand – its trademark comma.

The main projects of PenzaNews agency are its news stream, mailing list, press center for press conferences and online conferences, radio news podcasts, English language version, as well as opinion and analysis column.

PenzaNews agency regularly takes part in regional and Russia-wide exhibitions and has won numerous media contests, both in the region and throughout the country.
