Penza, 25 September 2015. PenzaNews. A pilot project on decorating municipal buildings with graffiti became the main object of discussion during the meeting session of the Penza city administration held by its head Yuri Ilyin on Friday, September 25.

The participants discussed management issues on using the walls of heating stations, pipeline covers and blindside walls of apartment buildings.

“The starting point for such art objects in our city must be the decoration of infrastructure objects, such as the heading stations in municipal property. We may follow this principle in decorating other city objects as well,” Yuri Ilyin suggested.

He instructed his subordinates to form a list of objects that may potentially be involved in the project, develop possible choices for its formation, and discuss the issue with the artists.

“The sketches must fit in the current architectural image of each neighborhood,” the vice mayor stressed.

The project on decorating municipal locations with graffiti will be started in the next year, the press service of the city administration told PenzaNews agency.
