Russian nuclear industry’s 70th anniversary celebrated in Zarechny

Penza, 29 September 2015. PenzaNews. An official event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry took place at “Sovremennik” culture center in Zarechny city of the Penza region in the evening of Monday, September 28.

It involved the members of the Protsenko production facility “Start,” honored citizens, and civil community representatives.

In his address to the audience, the governor Ivan Belozertsev stressed that the nuclear industry, is rightfully considered to be the grandest in all Russian industry field, and remains a strategic priority for the country’s economy.

“Thanks to selfless work of gifted scientists, engineers and professionals, Russia now has its strong production and technical infrastructure that reliably ensures the state’s self-defense capability and energy security. And your staff made a significant contribution to this success,” said the head of the region.

Ivan Belozertsev also expressed his particular gratitude to the veterans of the city’s backbone enterprise who created and developed the defense industry.

“You built the factory, set up the production of incredibly elaborate technical devices that had served as the foundation of our country’s strategic power for years. We bow to you and your successes in labor. I believe that the modern generation of workers of the famed enterprise is worthy of continuing your grand legacy,” the governor stressed.

He wished the nuclear industry workers sound health, prosperity, happiness and new achievements at work.

Many workers of the industry received certificates of merit and letters of gratitude for years of high-skill work, great personal contribution to development of Penza region industry, and in commemoration of their professional holiday.

After the official part, the audience enjoyed a performance of the symphonic chapel led by the renowned culture artist Vladimir Kashirsky, says the press service of the Penza region government.
