Penza, 2 October 2015. PenzaNews. Farms of all categories in the Penza region have harvested 483,000 tons of hay, which is 16% above the planned levels.

Moreover, the region has prepared 301,600 tons of haylage, or 95% of the plan; and 227,000 tons of silage (120%).

Earlier, in September 2015, the agricultural enterprises and owner-operated farms of the Penza region had beaten their record for harvesting food for cattle compared to a year ago.

They harvested 27.51 quintals of fibrous and succulent feed per animal, compared to 24.76 quintals in 2014. Further on, they exceeded their haylage and silage use volume by 5.9 tons and 66.2 tons year-to-year, says the press service of the Agriculture Ministry in the Penza region.
