Penza, 4 October 2015. PenzaNews. The newspaper “Pokrov Vestnik” began its first print run in Penza, as this year marks the 250th anniversary of the Pokrovsky Bishop’s Cathedral.

All the work related to the newspaper about the life of the religious community is done by the youth wing of the cathedral.

The idea to release the periodical was suggested by Denis Boldyrev, the youth outreach manager of the cathedral, and received the blessing and ardent support of the Archpriest Joannes Yavorsky, guardian of the cathedral.

The first issue of “Pokrov Vestnik” tells about the preparations to the cathedral’s anniversary and the work of the youth wing, says the press service of the Penza diocese.
