“Penza citizens received heating bills for 2012 – 80% of city’s population in distress. We [the Communist Party] think this is a result of any absence of control and supervision of authorities over the urban amenities field. […] Now they are going to sow fear by courts, and possibly there will be more and more tricks citizens will have to face. Is your ministry going to do anything at all?” the leader of the Communist Party in Penza asked Alexander Grishaev during the October 7 session of the Legislative Assembly committee on state construction and local self-government committee held on Wednesday.
In turn, the head of the Penza region Construction Ministry pointed out that such questions are placed in the authority of Goszhilstroytekhinspektsiya.
“Nevertheless, we have the decree from the Penza region governor [Ivan Belozertsev] and are working in this field,” Alexander Grishaev stressed.
In reply, Georgy Kamnev asked the acting minister to personally monitor the situation over this issue and get in touch with the citizens with actual explanations on three-year-old bills if needed.
