Penza, 20 October 2015. PenzaNews. The one-day preventive campaign “Safety Seat for Children” went off on highways of Penza city and the region in the morning of Tuesday, October 20.

During the campaign, the traffic police will hold general checks of drivers for using safety seats for children in cars.

“Children is one of the most vulnerable categories of passengers. They suffer much more than adults in traffic accidents. The task to ensure children’s security in cars remains urgent,” the press service of the Penza region traffic police department commented for PenzaNews agency.

Safety belts used for children must be equipped with special adjusts adapted for a child’s weight and height, or special holding devices that allow to secure a child, they reminded.

“Only seat belt adjusts are permitted to use for the front seats. Violations of the rules listed above will incur a fine of 3,000 rubles,” the press department added.
