“We have developed advice for each building, including color matching. Quarter to quarter, stage to stage, we must work through the dialogue with the Architecture Department, the advertising service, the Economy Departement, managers and owners of real estate to develop solutions for each building to come to a unified design of the street,” the Penza mayor suggested.

He also pointed out that various banners and advertisement often break the architectural and design flow of the pedestrian street because of clashing styles.

In her turn, Olga Maximova, head of Urban Planning and Architecture Department of Penza city, announced that the obligatory guidelines for advertising will be included in the landscaping rules already in the first draft.

The new rules will help distinguish information from advertising, she explained.

In conclusion of the meeting, Yuri Krivov instructed those responsible to develop a detailed roadmap for the project.

“We need timelines, types of required work for each single building, so that we have the central street of the city in a unified design by spring,” the city hall press service quotes the mayor.
