Members of the Penza City Duma youth council, the Russian civil organization “Youth Guard of the United Russia,” representatives of student teams, and school students have taken part in the November 10 blood donation campaign that took place in the regional blood transfusion station on Tuesday.

This year’s event also featured a guided tour through the facility for school students who learned about the techniques to store donated blood and its components and various checks it is subject to, the City Duma youth council chairman Alexander Antonov told PenzaNews agency.

“We also held a brief 101 course for the future donors,” he added.

According to Alexander Antonov, they were also offered to donate blood.

Many of those who took part in the event came from the staff reserve of the City Duma youth council that are socially active in their educational institutions, he explained.

“They will spread the information they learned here in their schools,” the youth council chairman believes.
