He highlighted the issue of dilapidated housing where all residents were already moved elsewhere but the buildings were not demolished, that break out from the exterior of the city.
“The architect sits idle in the city, just like in the region,” the governor pointed out.
Ivan Belozertsev demanded that all architectural solutions need to be analyzed by the regional authorities before being submitted to the responsible officials in the Penza city hall.
“They are pushing forward the decisions they need. Practically any hackjobs that work out for them,” he stressed.
The governor followed his statements with examples of buildings that do not contribute to the overall outlook of the city, listing the new apartment building complex on Stroiteley prospekt as one of them.
“Easy to see it doesn’t tie in, doesn’t look in place,” he pointed out.
“Please, Ioffe, begin the work on it, held a summit for architects, discuss it,” Ivan Belozertsev said, urging the professionals to aim for the positive examples already present in the city.
He also expressed his readiness to take part in such discussions and provide his personal proposals.
“We need to change the city’s outlook,” Ivan Belozertsev concluded.
