According to information coming from different residential areas of the city, the roads are blocked with snow and the streets are hard to navigate because of slush after sand, salt and snow removal chemicals were spread at them.

In particular, Arbekovo residential area was practically blocked in the morning rush hours, both on the smaller roads and on its backbone highway – Stroiteley prospekt.

At the same time, the drivers admit the road crews are working, but their numbers and speed is insufficient to maintain the roads clean.

According to the city administration, “Penzadormost” is working in several shifts to manage the situation. Throughout November 19, the road crews used 1,285 tons of sand and salt mix, as well as 38 tons of anti-icing chemicals, to unblock the roads and the sidewalks, along with disposing of 376 cubic meters of snow from Penza roads.

Municipal servants also did their work to clean the adjacent territories of the city hall in the morning, the city administration press service informed PenzaNews agency.

“Thanks to joint efforts of municipal servants, the area of Marshala Zhukova square was fully cleaned of the snowfall,” they pointed out.
