Their appearance can be linked to the fact that the street crews typically gather the snow into big piles, but fail to dispose of them in time.
In particular, as many as two large snow piles have appeared by “Tovary Dlya Zhenshin” bus stop on Stroiteley prospekt.
One of them is located by the road crossing between the parking zone of “Spar” supermarket and the pedestrian path to the bus stop itself, while the other one is placed just several meters away.
Many neighborhood residents fear that if the temperature remains in the positive, all the work to clean the roads will be in vain as it will be flooded due to melting snow. Some pedestrians even jest that “the communal services seem to be looking just for that.”
The rest, on the other hand, see danger in a potential cold spell, as it will make the snow piles solidify into ice that is highly unlikely to be disposed of properly. Many recall the last year’s situation, when piles of snow and ice on the sidewalks of Stroiteley prospekt were left untouched for weeks.
