Nearly 90 Penza homes remain with no heating due to pipeline breach

Penza, 28 November 2015. PenzaNews. A pipeline breach has left 87 houses in Penza on Pobedy prospekt, as well as Voroshilova and Kommunisticheskaya streets, without heating for one day. The repairs are scheduled to complete before midnight.

The incident took place at 15.00 of Friday, November 27; immediately afterwards, the heating supply was resumed through a different main pipeline without conducting repairs, the press service of the Penza city hall informed PenzaNews agency.
“However, the supply from the heating source was increased on Sunday, November 28. Because of that, we have decided to repair the damaged main pipeline, using additional brigades from city’s communal companies managed by a joint task force,” the Penza city administration explained.
The repair group comes from workers of “T Plus Teploset Penza,” “Teplosnabzhenie Goroda Penzy,” “Gorvodokanal,” emergency repair crews of communal services and the Oktyabrsky city area, as well as the city cleaning communal force, the press service clarified.
“At the moment, 56 people are conducting the pipeline repairs using 17 vehicles. The process is personally monitored by the Penza city head Victor Kuvaytsev and the acting mayor Sergei Volkov,” the city administration office added.
