Penza parents, teachers to learn how to discuss Internet with children

Penza, 5 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza cinema complex “Sovremennik” will host a workshop for parents and teachers “How to Talk About the Internet With the Child?” that will take place on Friday, December 11.
The event will be organized as videoconference that features an example script of a parents-teachers meeting designed to help bridge the digital gap between the parents and the children.
The host of the workshop is Vladimir Shlyapnikov, Cand. Psy. Sc., social projects director of the Internet Development Foundation, senior researcher of the Center of Education Development Strategy and Program Management Support for the Federal Institute of Education Development.
He plans to tell the audience about the usual activities of modern children and young adults online, and the threats and issues they encounter there.
Moreover, Vladimir Shlyapnikov will explain how to use digital technologies to educate and develop skills of the younger generation, and dwell on the role of a teacher in increasing digital alertness of school students and their parents, says the press service of the Penza region Education Ministry.
