“Vesti FM” radio station begins broadcasting in Penza

Penza, 8 December 2015. PenzaNews. “Penza Regional Radio and TV Transmitting Center” (RRTTC), regional branch of the Russian TV and Radio Broadcasting Network, has begun the broadcast of “Vesti FM” radio station in Penza on 96.0 FM.
The broadcast is available for nearly 800,000 people living in Penza city and nearby, the local branch of the RTRBN told PenzaNews agency.
The news of the upcoming launch was first reported by Vladislav Bolyakin, broadcast department head of STRBC “Penza,” on November 22; however, he refrained from stating the exact launch date.
In the months before, the launch of “Penza FM” broadcast in Penza was announced for late August to early September, and later shifted to October 1.
The launch of the new radio station still has not been announced by STRBC “Penza” officially: the company’s website still has no information about it.
“Vesti FM” is a Russian national news and information radio station included in the All-Ruissian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company holding. Its first broadcast took place on February 5, 2008.
At the moment, it is broadcast in over 30 Russian cities.
Moreover, the radio station “Vesti FM” is included in the first multiplex package of Russian national digital television broadcast.
