Penza region leading in Volga Federal District healthcare effectiveness rating

Penza, 11 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region has been placed first in the Volga Federal District healthcare effectiveness rating, surpassing Tatarstan, the Saratov region, and Chuvashia.
The rating results were presented by Guzel Ulumbekova, head of the Higher School of Healthcare Organization and Management, boar chairman of the Medical Quality Communities Association, during the Volga Federal District council session held in Kirov.
The rating took into account such factors as yearly life expectancy dynamics, healthcare funding in relation to gross national product and per-person level, availability of cutting-edge medical assistance, and infant mortality dynamics.
After the session, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev instructed the regional Health Ministry to conduct an extended meeting together with its subordinate institutions, as well as representatives of civil organizations and the medical community, to achieve the listed levels in medical institutions within municipalities, says the press service of the regional government.
