“We need to get citizens involved in physical education and sports during the New Year holidays. We must organize the activities for the children and school students, as well as young adults and parents,” he stressed.
Each municipality must have a sufficient amount of equipped skating and hockey rinks, skiing routes, and ski rentals, Valery Savin pointed out.
Moreover, according to him, the officials must see that sports and recreation centers, swimming pools, school sport halls, library club centers and extracurricular educational institutions must be properly active, and freely available for children and adults.
In addition, the vice governor stressed the importance of organizing New Year citizen concerts in village clubs and decorating residential areas before the holidays.
“All events scheduled in areas must be properly advertised in local newspapers within the upcoming week,” Valery Savin ordered.
In addition, he pointed out for heads of municipalities that each festive event related to New Year and Orthodox Christmas must be agreed with the law enforcement forces and conducted with their support.
“The security issue is more relevant than ever. The heads must personally monitor each and every New Year festivity,” the press service of the regional government quotes Valery Savin.
