“The Penza foreign export experienced significant growth in 2015, reaching $150 million over the first 9 months [of 2015]. The region supplies goods to 60 countries of the world. In 2015, the Penza Chamber of Commerce and Industry created a regional integrated center that provides support to export companies: over 200 local companies received support this year. Overall, the interregional and international partnership projects by SMEs received 8.5 million rubles from federal and regional budgets in 2015, with the same volume planned for the upcoming year,” Ivan Belozertsev said in his investment address on Monday, December 21.
The Penza region is open for work with Russian and foreign partners, he emphasized.
The governor reminded that the partnerships are facilitated by the Penza Region Development Corporation that provides investor support, assists in picking investment locations, and helps resolve current issues.
“I ask heads of authorities on all levels, and business structures, to establish cooperation with the Corporation to help attract investments,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
He also added that volume of attracted investments and number of implemented investment projects will become the main effectiveness factors for regional and municipal authorities in 2016.
“Today, we need high effectiveness and consolidated efforts to achieve the sole goal – further dynamic development of the region. Authorities and business – together – must ensure that new jobs are created and people’s life standards improve. I am assured that understanding of the objectives, personal responsibility, creative approach and use of past experience will help us – together – achieve success,” Ivan Belozertsev said in conclusion of his address.
