Civil Union foundation wins contest “Ethics and Transparency for Russian Non-Profits”

Penza, 26 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza Civil Union foundation was named one of the winners of the contest “Ethics and Transparency for Russian Non-Profits” organized by Transparency International in Russia.

The other four winners is the Civil Committee for Preservation of Legacy of Academician Sakharov; the St. Petersburg Civil Charity Foundation “Parental Bridge”; the Kaliningrad branch of “Cossacks’ Union” Russian organization – the Baltic Cossacks’ Union; and the charity foundation of social support and protection for civilians “Road to Life.”

The five aforementioned organization will receive assistance in free-of-charge development of ethical documents and website information accessibility improvement, says the website of Transparency Informational in Russia.

The organization will get in touch with the five winners before the New Year night, agree on individual improvement plans, and begin the audit process where possible.

In his comment on the contest results, Oleg Sharipkov, executive director of Civil Union foundation, stressed that transparency is a competitive advantage for a non-profit organization.

“And we advise all Penza non-profits to follow our example,” he added.
