Kazakhstan blacklists Penza “Vasilyevskaya” poultry factory broiler chickens

Penza, 27 December 2015. PenzaNews. A part of the broiler chicken production released by the Penza “Vasilyevskaya” broiler factory has been blacklisted by the Kazakhstan Consumer Rights Protection Foundation after an audit.

Some of the items coming from the poultry factory, obtained from the supermarket “Astykzhan” in Kostanay, was found to be falling behind the sanitary requirements.

Moreover, the chicken quarters coming from the same company was also blacklisted, based on items found in the shopping center “Sokol” in Petropavlovsk.

In November 3-27, the consumer rights protection committee under the National Economy Ministry of Kazakhstan has conducted a repeat pick-up and sanitary check procedure for food items that had been found to be falling behind the requirements, says “Kazakhstan Today.”

The committee analyzed a total of 779 items, and found 24% of them to be falling behind the Customs Union technical standards. In particular, 15.3% of them were lacking in the microbiological safety department, 16.3% – in physicochemical department, and 68.4% – in required marking.

As a result of the audit, the Consumer Rights Protection Foundation of Kazakhstan blacklisted a total of 190 food items.
