Penza, 28 December 2015. PenzaNews. The exhibition “All About the Holiday” that features books and articles about celebrating New Year in Russia and other countries will soon open for Penza citizens.

The exhibition will be held in the Penza State Museum of Local Lore on December 30-31.

Among the exhibits is the book “Russians. History and Ethnography” printed in 2008, one of the new acquirements of the museum; and the article in the 2006 issue No. 1 of “Rodina” magazine about the famous Russian New Year song “V Lesu Rodilas Yolochka,” which is as popular in Russia as “Jingle Bells” is in the West.

The exhibition also features holiday rousing toasts and recipes of New Year dishes, as well as riddles and charades about the New Year and its attributes.

In addition, the event exposition includes literature about monkeys, symbols of 2016, says the press service of the Penza region Department of Culture and Archive.
