Swallow icon proposed to return to Penza-1 station building wall
Penza, 29 December 2015. PenzaNews. The swallow icon that had been present on the wall of Penza-1 station building before the reconstruction should make a return, proposed the Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev during the weekly session of the city hall on Tuesday, December 29.
He reminded that the clock was once again installed on the train station building a week ago, and suggested that the swallow icon, the symbol of Penza, should appear there again as well.
“Let us work to bring it back,” the mayor said.
The previous head of the Penza Culture Department Vera Feygina provided a very on-the-spot justification of the symbol’s importance for the city, Victor Kuvaytsev pointed out.
“I believe we are able to reach an agreement with the local railroad branch management and the justice will prevail,” Victor Kuvaytsev stressed.
