Penza, 29 December 2015. PenzaNews. The respiratory infections incidence rate in the Penza region remains 52% below the epidemic threshold, the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor department informed PenzaNews agency on Tuesday, December 29.
“Over the past week, December 21-27, there were 1,819 new cases of respiratory infections, with the incidence rate of 133.7 cases per 100,000 residents,” they explained.
According to the press service, a total of 0.13% of adults and 0.47% of children under 14 living in the Penza region already went through a respiratory infection case this season.
“5.11% of adults who got sick were hospitalized; the same situation applied to 6.4% of the affected children. The situation for all age groups remains below the control threshold,” the Rospotrebnadzor department said.
At the moment, there are no cases of flu in the Penza region, they stressed.
