A similar resource center had been opened in Ivanovo several days before, Anna Kuznetsova, president of the charity foundation in support of family, motherhood and childhood “Pokrov,” head of the Association of Family Protection Organizations, told PenzaNews agency.

“The main objective is spreading onwards the best practices of work in family and motherhood protection among the newly-appearing civil organizations,” she explained.

According to Anna Kuznetsova, “Pokrov” foundation over the years of work amassed a sizeable amount of experience in such field as family crisis support and education for the youth, with some practices created from scratch.

“I would have been very grateful for any method book on the field when we had just started. But back then, five years ago, they did not exist at all – only scarce papers we had to seek out. […] We want our organization to become one of the platforms that allow social workers to hone effective technologies in family and motherhood protection,” said the president of the charity foundation.

At the moment, the Association of Family Protection Organizations unites over 150 non-profits that exchange their methods, collect and organize positive experience for later use, she added.

According to Anna Kuznetsova, there are plans to create method books in the future with the help of activists from various regions.

“Some are already finished. In particular, the shelter set-up and management guide, developed by the Ivanovo crisis center. We worked on editing it together, and right now, this is the first shelter management guidebook,” explained the head of the Association of Family Protection Organizations.

The project is funded thanks to the grant money provided through the 1 April 2015 Presidential Decree, she pointed out.
