Penza police sums up New Year night public order protection measures results
Penza, 2 January 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza police successfully prevented any major breaches of public order at the New Year night in the Penza region, announced police colonel Anatoly Trykhanov, acting deputy police chief for public order protection in the regional Ministry of the Interior department.

“The main mass events in Penza city and the region were held at night from December 31 into January 1. A total of 174 large-scale mass events were held, with about 40,000 citizens participating in them. The public order was protected by 776 police officers and 480 workers private security companies and social law-enforcement organizations,” he explained.
The measures taken helped prevent street crime in the region during the designated time, Anatoly Trykhanov said.
“The aforementioned period saw only 126 administrative violations, just 3 of them taking place in the New Year tree areas. That means the citizens were civil and the police was properly oriented on preventive measures,” he pointed out.
However, the mass events continue, the police colonel noted, with over 400 police officers protecting public order and road safety.
