Pushkina street pipeline breach aftermath cleaned up in Penza

Penza, 4 January 2016. PenzaNews. The communal crews finished the aftermath clean-up of the 600-mm diameter main water pipeline breach in the vicinity of Pushkina street, 3 apartment building in Penza in the evening of Sunday, January 3.

“Immediately after the repairs, the crews of ‘Penzadormost’ and ‘Gorvodokanal’ began mechanical and chemical cleaning of the asphalt road to resume the traffic through the affected Pushkina street section in full,” the press service of the city administration told PenzaNews agency.
The city services also held a full set of improvement measures in the area between Plekhanova and Volodarskovo streets, the city administration added.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the main water pipeline breach in the vicinity of Pushkina street, 3 apartment building in Penza occurred at about 20.00 of Saturday, January 2.
The Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev held a task force briefing on Sunday, January 3, to discuss the breach.During the meeting, the vice-mayor Yuri Ilyin reported that machines from the Leninsky city area office of “Penzadormost” were immediately diverted to the breach area.
The repair crews undertook a series of measures to avoid any water spills in the road area that poses a threat due to cold weather; the road was corded off, traffic detoured, and road subjected to mechanical and chemical cleaning. All apartment buildings continued to receive water supply without any interruptions.
