Penza, 9 January 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza city mayor Victor Kuvaytsev has proposed to create a permanent city parking zone management task force. He made the proposal during the meeting session held on Friday, January 8.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the three primary zones in need of additional parking: Teatralny passway, the Privokzalnaya square, and the upper part of Moskovskaya street.

In addition, they agreed on a pilot parking zone management project in the old part of the city.

Moreover, they reviewed the proposal from “Penza Road Traffic Management Center” to set up a parking lot on Lermontova street by the perinatal center.

In particular, the city head Valery Savelyev pointed out that the parking will be open for the center staff and visitors alike, as well as other drivers.

However, as the available territory is limited, the parking lot must comply with all security requirements, the officials pointed out.

In conclusion of the meeting, Victor Kuvaytsev tasked his subordinates to minimize any conflicts between drivers and pedestrians in the limited available land and funding.

“Parking placement must take the interests of the city and the citizens into account, along with increasing the city’s investment and residential attractiveness,” the administration head stressed.
