Penza, 12 January 2016. PenzaNews. The official unemployment level in the Penza region for the beginning of 2016 is 0.8% of the regional work force, the press service of the regional Labor Ministry told PenzaNews agency.

“As of January 1, there are 5,758 unemployed citizens registered with the Penza region employment service. At the same time, regional enterprises submitted 7,887 job vacancies,” the officials clarified.

According to official statistics, in 2015, the Penza region employment service helped 27,220 people find jobs, while 1,100 citizens completed vocational training courses for jobs in demand, including 135 women in maternal leave.

At the same time, 1,568 people alleviated their income situation by taking part in paid social work, and 18,778 citizens received social support during the job-finding period.

Overall, a total of 96,100 people received help from the employment service.
