The project creators see it not only as a place for education of future railroad workers, but also as a landmark recreation zone for residents of the city and the close region, Sergei Blokhin noted.
The project requires a new railroad section of 2.4 km, along with a training center train station, a locomotive depot, ad a reconstruction of the already-present electrical signal tower.
The reconstruction reportedly will be completed by the summer of 2018.
After the project is negotiated with the governor Ivan Belozertsev, the Kuybyshevskaya Railroad and the city administration aim to sign a share agreement to reconstruct the children’s railroad, the press service of the Penza city administration informed PenzaNews agency.
