“We need a website that has information about the region’s capabilities in industry, agriculture and SME fields. It must have a standalone section about investment capabilities of the Penza region,” he said during the meeting session in the regional government on Monday, January 25.

While the information can be found separately on websites of certain companies most of the time, it is important to have it collected on a single portal, Ivan Belozertsev pointed out.

“We must collect it together into a unified database and send to all trade representations in Russia and abroad under my hand, so that they could contact the businesses. […] Regardless of the state policy, the businesses are looking for opportunities to establish contacts,” stressed the head of the region.

Following that, he asked Valery Bespalov, deputy chairman of the regional government, about the required funding to implement the idea.

“About three months for the software, no less than half a year to fill it with info,” he said, adding that the website upkeep will require approximately 1 million rubles every month.

In reply, Ivan Belozertsev noted that calls for projects usually receive responses from many people with initiatives ready to pick them up, but costs of any real work somehow always incur millions of rubles.

“I give you one month,” the governor stressed, adding that the project can potentially involve people working on the e-government project and experts from universities.
