The three-floor building was designed for 175 kindergarteners, with plans for 3 early childhood groups and 7 preschool groups.
The institution has its own medical and food units, a laundry, musical and sports halls, and a computer class.
Alexander Voronkov, Minister of Education in the Penza region, addressed the children, parents and teachers, and said the opening of the new kindergarten became a notable event for people living in the surrounding residential area.
In turn, the city head Valery Savelyev pointed out that the Penza authorities are gradually reducing the overextended kindergarten queue.
“The work we are doing right now is very important. Kindergarten is the first stage of education, the school comes second. Therefore, I wish the children to study well and make their parents, grandmothers and grandfathers happy,” he said.
There are not that many cities that are building kindergartens even under economic difficulties, said the mayor Victor Kuvaytsev.
“Penza can allow it only because we are doing it together with the government, the parent community, because we are concerned about the future,” he stressed.
Victor Kuvaytsev thanked the parents that helped build the preschool institution.
Moreover, they presented letters of gratitude to distinguished workers and gifts to the kindergarten staff.
