Evgeny Kuznetsov wins Russian Diving Cup in 3-meter diving

Penza, 28 January 2016. PenzaNews. Evgeny Kuznetsov, representative of the Penza region in the parallel standing, has won the Russian Cup in men’s 3-meter diving with 500,75 points.

He was followed by Sergei Nazin from Buzuluk (474.35 points) and Evgeny Novoselov from Yekaterinburg (451.50 points).
“Overall, I am satisfied with my performance. Not everything came up well, each attempt had small infractions. An okay result for the beginning of the season,” Evgeny Kuznetsov commented on his jumps.
He also said his performance was affected by the absence of Ilya Zakharov.
“Usually we push each other further and check each other. Today, I was checked by Sergei Nazin who did really well. I am glad for him because he is a very strong athlete,” Evgeny Kuznetsov said.
At the same time, Yulia Timoshina and Yekaterina Pukhova from Moscow took the top of the pedestal in women’s synchronous diving with 303.18 points.
The Penza female athlete Valeria Belova, paired with Anna Chuynyshena from St. Petersburg, took the second place with 293.82 points.
They were folloed by Victoria Shirinova and Ekaterina Ukolova from Voronezh with 252.09 points.
“I still cannot perform all jumps, as I went through a severe knee injury. Today, we had to do three compulsory jumps and only three free jumps, but we are satisfied with our performance,” the sports news agency “Ves Sport” quotes Valeria Belova.
