Juvenile crime rate in Penza region drops by 9.2%

Penza, 29 January 2016. PenzaNews. The juvenile crime rate in the Penza region went down by 9.2% in 2015 compared to the previous year, the press service of the regional Ministry of Education informed PenzaNews agency.

“There are 10.4% less thefts committed by the underage, 20% less car thefts, 33% less group crimes with adults and 29.4% less crimes committed with peers,” they clarified.
Moreover, according to the ministry, the number of underage children committing crimes decreased by 12.6%.
“To curb crime, we intensified work with risk-group teenagers, organized activities in social networks. We more frequently involve teenagers in work of civil communities aimed at preventing crime, and we established strong partnership with all crime prevention organizations and bodies,” the press service pointed out.
