The event will take place in New Delhi on Saturday, January 30.

In will feature two sessions: “Fulfilling the Indian-Russian Economic Promise,” and “BRICS growth programme: attractive regions for investment in Russia.”

The second session, in turn, will include a presentation of the investment potential of the region by Andrei Luzgin, acting deputy chairman of the Penza region government.

“We expect the presentation of investment potential of our region to attract the attention of Indian security agencies, the Agriculture Ministry, the Indian Space Research Organization – we have something to offer,” he pointed out.

The main objective for the regional delegation on the forum in New Delhi is to establish new connections with prospective partners and re-establish the old ones, the press service of the Penza region government informed PenzaNews agency.

In 2015, the Penza region foreign trade turnover reached $326,610,200 dollars, which is over 18% more than in 2014.

The region maintains communications with countries in near and far abroad. Penza enterprises exported their goods to 66 states of the world and imported from 51 countries, yet the share of India in this turnover remains very small. However, with its potential in agriculture, industry, education, healthcare and culture, the Penza region has many attractive projects to offer to its Indian partners.
