Victor Kuvaytsev: No medical face mask deficit in Penza pharmacies
Penza, 29 January 2016. PenzaNews. Municipal libraries in Penza have about 2,500 medical face masks in store, and their price remains unchanged from December 2015 at 5 rubles apiece, announced the city mayor Victor Kuvaytsev during the 18th extraordinary City Duma session on Friday, January 29.

According to him, he visited several pharmacies shortly before, and confirmed that oxolinic ointment, another popular product during when viral infections are on the rise, is very cheap at only 19 rubles.
The decision to not allow privatization of “Gorodskiye Apteki” company, founded solely by the municipality, was correct, which is reflected in the assortment and cost of pharmaceuticals.
“We visited the municipal pharmacy chain and once again realized we made the correct decision when removed the pharmacies from the privatization plan. […] All pharmaceuticals are much cheaper,” the Penza mayor noted.
Moreover, the city administration head stressed that “municipal pharmacies are bearing and will be bearing the social load.”
