Penza region to intensify extremism prevention measures

Penza, 1 February 2016. PenzaNews. A series of events dedicated to preventing extremism and monitoring ethnic and confessional tensions will be held in several areas of the Penza region.

On Tuesday, February 2, the Shemysheika area administration will hold the meeting, and a similar one will take place in the Pachelma area.
Reportedly, they will be visited by Vasily Trokhin, deputy chairman of the Penza region government; Alexander Elatontsev, acting head of the regional Department of Internal Policy and Mass Communications, as well as administration heads of city areas and municipalities.
“The main issues up for review during the meetings will be related to risk factors in extremism, nationality and religious hatred, as well as preventive activities by the related structures,” the Penza region Department of Internal Policy and Mass Communications commented for PenzaNews agency.
